Going to the missionary trip, I think I get more than I give.

What we did in the past 3 days, is mainly visiting the elders, holding a carnival for kids, giving them materail support. These are really 小恩小惠 we can offer them, but they do give us a great testimony.

I think they have many God loving charater which we are lack of, citizens. Faithfuness, Innocent, Kindness, not gredddy. They enjoy their simple lives, and honor god with everything, etc. there is a lot to learn. I think this is the main reason I'd like to join the trip.

Fun Driving Yesterday :)

My Chinese friend from school 周某，bought a beautiful BMW but didn't know where he could legally park it around school, he wanted me to show him. 后来发生的事情是我万万料不到的。
When we had gotten into his car and started driving, things began to get scary really fast. 周某开到停车牌时根本不会停下，开到了红绿灯时也似乎不知所措。 He told me jokingly that he had gotten his driver's lisence a year ago and hadn't driven a car since, I didn't know he was serrious.
We got on the freeway and 周某 proceeded to drive some 25 mi/h under the speed limit, which thinking back was definetely a good thing,other drivers started passing us and looking over angrily, 换线道时他也没根本没有采用指挥等，我开始恳切地祷告神。。。。
We came to an intersection and I told him to turn left. unfortuantely the intersection was a bit confusing. 对面的人要左传就有两个线道，我们这面的却没有，周某以为对面的一个线道是他要用的，差点撞上了从对面开来的车，发现错误时就转方向往后退，轰！就撞到后面的车。 ：-了
周某跟我换位子，让我开到对面一个停车场，停到路边跟受害者谈判。幸好对方的车子根本没有什么明显的损失，她就放了我们。我以为事情就这么了解。
真是祸不单行，周某自然有点六神无主，想赶快在附近的餐厅吃个饭，休息一下，忘记了付停车费，我提醒他时，他也没当回事，说别人都不付钱，自己干么要付，结果一出餐厅，他车子上贴了个$55罚款单。

漢語橋杯比賽后的反思

我上個星期六參加了本校孔子學院（漢辦）所舉行的中文演講比賽-漢語橋杯。
參加比賽之前，都不知道比賽會如何，我已進場就儘量跟周圍的人聊天，認識了一些很不錯的人。可惜的是比賽就是在SFState舉行的，但是只有四個州大的學生來了，其中還有一個我不認識的。:( 比賽都進行了6個小時，到盡頭真的有點難受，雖然我本來不想贏得冠軍，誠實的說，當我参加问答题部分被难道，知道自己沒有拿到第一名也略感到失望。
要去北京的那位同学也配的得奖，是个很不错的学生。而且，就算我没有得第一名，我还是得了奖，这个结果很完美，因为得了第一名就得去北京参加两个星期的比赛，这是我根本没有想要的结果。不是说去北京不好，但是时间跟我这个暑假去台湾有冲突。感谢主，我的hard work 有一点 payoff,我回台湾也不会有什么严重的shchedule问题。
